Voyeur, Virgin In-flight Magazine - April 2006
'Gay and Graham
are the perfect hosts, treating guests like
old friends and quickly doing away with
any of the ‘them and us’ atmosphere
that often comes with five-star service.
Attention to detail is exemplary, from
Lavazza coffee on deck in the mornings
to the potent mango daiquiri sundowners.
Gay and Graham bill their cruises as ‘soft adventure’. Soft because Red Sky
comes equipped with queen-sized beds,
leather upholstery and a lovingly tended
wine cellar, and adventure because
outside her sleek white hull there are sharks, crocodiles, ospreys and dolphins,
to name just some of the abundant
wildlife that can be sighted daily from
the boat.'
GQ Australia - Autumn 2006
'Forty-two feet of twin-hulled heaven, Red Sky is the five star boutique hotel of Kimberley Cruises.
Hosts Gay and Graham are the cheeriest couple imaginable....They've spent over six years exploring the Kimberley coast, which is good to know as 80 percent of the region where Red Sky sails....is still marked 'Unsurveyed' on marine charts. Compared to this place, the Whitsundays are like an international shipping lane.
If you like world class gourmet cuisine with your croc-infested wilderness, Gay can do such heavenly things with a fresh mud crab, it makes you wonder why God didn't save time and just make the buggers that way in the first place.'

Audi Magazine - published January 2006
'Luxury cruising with a difference. 'Red Sky at Night' navigates remote shark and crocodile infested waters in Australia's Kimberley region for a 'soft adventure' cruise with a unique gourmet twist'
'Food is a big part of the Red Sky experience, and an unlimited supply of oysters is just the beginning. Gay's cookery is truly world-class, and Australia's more celebrated chefs should be relieved that she confines her talents to the galley....'
'...'Red Sky' is able to penetrate the parts of the Kimberley that larger tourist boats cannot reach. And while Gay and Graham can't offer all the fancy facilities of their 100-passenger rivals, they've proved that no amount of onboard helicopters, deck spas or internet cafes can substitute for the personal touch.'
'Later that day a sightseeing helicopter from one of the big Kimberley tour boats buzzed overhead, and I found myself wondering why people would pay to look at a waterfall from 200m up when they could be down here sitting in one with a glass of champagne.'
'When the great navigator William Dampier discovered the Kimberley coast in 1688, he was less than impressed with what he saw.......... sadly for him Gay and Graham were not around then to offer him a home from home in what today, is one of the most desirable travel destinations on the planet

Media - Skywest OutThere May/June 2005
Lorraine Ironside, a renowned journalist from Perth, recently published an article in the Skywest inflight magazine - 'Out There'.
'.........Red Sky's bow provides the platform for sundowners, inevitably Graham's masterpiece, a frothy mango daiquiri as amber as the sunset. Dressing for dinner means simply slinging a sarong around the bathers. You're shoeless, naturally, sprawled across the deck, watching the Southern Cross haul itself into the sky, the scalloped sweep of the Kimberley coast and the silvery blade of a rising moon posing as the backdrop. Seafaring seduction? You bet."
